Ichiban Kasuga is the new lead character in the latest installment of the Yakuza/Ryu Ga Gotoku series, developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by SEGA. Voiced by Kazuhiro Nakaya, Kasuga is a former member of the Arakawa Family, a branch of the Tojo Clan, which is a prominent yakuza organization.
Kasuga’s journey begins after serving an 18-year prison sentence, during which he was asked by his patriarch, Masumi Arakawa, to surrender for a murder committed by the family captain, Jo Sawashiro. Upon release, he finds that the Tojo Clan no longer rules Kamurocho—it's now dominated by the Omi Alliance of Kansai—and that Masumi Arakawa might be behind the shift. Driven by suspicion and a desire for the truth, Kasuga sets out to reconnect with his former patriarch and uncover what really happened.
