NocturneIon Fury
Ion Fury is coming to consoles, and fans of its pixelated, gory action on PC will get the same brutal fun on the big screen. Developed by Voidpoint and published by 1C Entertainment, the game is making its way to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One this May.
The retro-inspired shooter is currently available on PC through Steam, GOG, and the 3D Realms website for $24.99. But if you’re eager to jump in on consoles, you’ll be able to pre-order the digital versions soon. On Xbox One, pre-orders kick off May 1 with a 15% discount, bringing the price down to about $21.24 (or €21,24 / £16,99). For Switch in Europe, pre-orders open May 7 with the same 15% off deal. The full console release happens on May 14, with localizations in English, French, German, Russian, and Spanish.
Physical editions will also be available through the official site for worldwide orders, with retail copies hitting Europe and Australia for Switch (€29.99 / £24.99) and PS4 (€24.99 / £19.99) on June 26.
Ion Fury’s console versions aim to deliver the same gory, fast-paced gameplay that made the PC version a hit. For the developers, it’s a dream come true to see the Build engine — a cornerstone of classic shooters — running on new hardware, ensuring that classic feel is preserved for modern audiences.
No matter your preferred platform, Ion Fury promises a nostalgic yet fresh dose of old-school shooter carnage, now officially expanding to console fans later this spring.
