“With Huntdown we’ve really tried to create a universe and characters that Schwarzenegger and Stallone would be proud of. We were raised on over the top 80s action movies and culture and we’ve channelled that nostalgia to develop something that will really resonate with that generation, and were thrilled to be able to share Huntdown with everyone today,” said Tommy Gustafsson, Co-founder, Designer & Director, Easy Trigger Games.
“Huntdown looks like an old-school arcade shooter, but it’s much more than that. Whilst we have designed the game like a classic 16-bit arcade game, the physics and gameplay are very different. The hope is that it captures the timeless style and tone of these vintage games but with a very modern, tactical, chaotic in-game experience,” said Andreas Rehnberg, Co-founder & Lead Programmer, Easy Trigger Games.
“Today is very special for us as Huntdown was the first game we signed through our publishing branch (2016!), and it is also our biggest launch to date, in terms of the number of platforms we hit at once,” said Anton Westbergh, CEO & Co-founder, Coffee Stain. “Easy Trigger has been an awesome studio and partner to work with and we couldn’t be prouder of the results. As a publisher we put the product first, and Huntdown is a great example of how giving studios the time and room they need to create their dream game can result in something truly fantastic.”

Founded in late 2016, Easy Trigger Games are the developers behind the arcade shooter Huntdown®. The founders of the company consist of two passionate geeks, Tommy Gustafsson and Andreas Rehnberg, both of which have been raised in front of Commodore computers. The studio is located in the cold and bitter city of Trollhättan, Sweden.
Our ambition is to make entertainment experiences that are highly enjoyable. The key is elaborate ideas through well-designed games. We leave nothing to chance.
