The Storm

The Storm is a Swedish comedy written and directed by Josephine Bornebusch, who also stars in the film. Netflix has set a global premiere date of October 15, 2026.

The film is set during Filip’s 45th birthday dinner at a lavish newly purchased farm in northern Sweden. A violent storm traps Filip and his closest friends inside the house.

As the night goes on, the group’s polished facades begin to break down, with buried secrets surfacing and raw emotions coming out as the situation becomes more difficult to ignore.

The cast includes Gustaf Skarsgård, Aliette Opheim, Filip Berg, Jonas Karlsson, Johan Rheborg, Christopher Wagelin, Sara Shirpey, Gizem Erdogan, Henrik Dorsin, Nils Wetterholm and Nicole Levin. The film is produced by Warner Bros. International Television Production (WBITVP) Sweden.
