Streets of Rage 4

Fans of classic beat 'em ups are getting a throwback treat as Streets of Rage 4 is finally hitting physical store shelves. After buzzing since its digital debut on April 30th, publisher Merge Games has announced retail versions for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC, including a special Signature Edition on consoles.

Streets of Rage, one of gaming’s most iconic series, makes a triumphant comeback with this installment. The game stays true to its roots with relentless side-scrolling action, infused with a banging electronic dance soundtrack and stunning hand-drawn visuals crafted by the same team behind Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap. It introduces new mechanics, a compelling story, and seamless online co-op for two players, making it a perfect nostalgia trip with modern flair.

The Signature Edition is set to be a collector’s dream, featuring a large special box packed with goodies. Inside, players will find the standard game with reversible cover art, an artbook, a keyring, five enamel fighter pins, a numbered art card, and a 35-track original soundtrack. Plus, there's a fun bonus: Axel’s blue headband, adding a touch of retro style to the package.

Whether you’re a longtime Streets of Rage fan or a newcomer looking for some old-school brawling, these new physical editions aim to deliver the full experience.
