Netflix is set to release "Steps," a fresh animated take on the Cinderella story, arriving November 20, 2026. Unlike traditional versions, this film centers on Lilith and Margot, the often misunderstood stepsisters, giving viewers a new perspective on the classic tale.

Directed by Alyce Tzue and John Ripa, "Steps" features Ali Wong lending her voice to Lilith. Amanda Seyfried plays Cinderella, while Stephanie Hsu voices Margot. The cast also includes notable voices like Bette Midler as the Fairy Godmother, Daniel Radcliffe as the Prince, and Peter Dinklage as Roderick.

Produced by Netflix Animation Studios alongside Paper Kite Productions, the screenplay was crafted by a writing team including Ava Tramer and Jen Chuck. Adding to the rich production, Oscar-winning composer Kris Bowers provides the musical score.
