In Spuds Unearthed, players command their own potato armies to invade or capture planets, battling through hordes of enemies like the zombified Zombuds. These spud warriors come with distinct abilities, so choosing the right crew members before engaging in battles is crucial. Seb from The Digital Fix appreciates the progression system, where players can upgrade their cannons and hero potatoes using tokens earned through gameplay, ensuring a rewarding sense of advancement.

Spuds Unearthed combines elements of action, real-time strategy (RTS), and MOBA genres, playable either seated or standing. Players build crews with unique perks and abilities, guide them to explore and conquer planets, and fend off threats left behind by other players.
