Bashborgs is the world’s first HD augmented reality infinite running and bashing game.
Concept Haus Inc., an agency and developer of creative interactive experiences, announced its formation under the leadership of CEO and founder, Art Babayan. The privately held company, which has been stealthy operating since 2017, is today revealing the first installment of their augmented reality franchise, Bashborgs, hitting the iOS and Android app stores worldwide.
Bashborgs is the world’s first HD augmented reality infinite running and bashing game. Taking the simple mechanics of a platform running experience, it’s a fun augmented reality style mini-game that allows you to compete against others on a global leaderboard. All players need to do is scan the table or area around them and the runner’s conveyor belt will appear in AR. The game is truly approachable - no need to go outside and participate in geo-location based activities or collection mechanics.
The game Bashborgs is just the initial step in establishing the first franchise of augmented reality games set inside a thrilling new IP universe called Zomborgs. Babayan and the team at Concept Haus are already planning on releasing the next instalment of the AR franchise, Zomborgs, in Q3 2020.
With over a decade of creative experience, Babayan has been responsible for some of the most iconic advertising campaigns for blockbuster franchises Call of Duty, Destiny 2, and Star Wars. With initial development focused around the HoloLens in 2017, the team shifted to mobile platforms as Babayan envisioned a future where anyone can easily bring a creative experience to life.
“When we started the project, we thought about how we could take an easy and addictive game like Flappy Bird and create something as simple, but still very fun for everyone in augmented reality”, said Babayan. “One of the reasons for our transition from HoloLens development is because this ‘pick up-and-play’ mentality is part of everything we try to do and something that we feel will begin taking over the AR ecosystem as phones become more powerful.”
